To authenticate your 2019 Derek Zoolander (Merman) Pop! Movies figure, first verify that the box displays the official Funko logo and the correct SKU number 703. Inspect the vinyl for consistent paint application, sharp sculpting details, and a smooth finish, as counterfeit figures often exhibit rough edges, off-color paint, or misaligned parts. Additionally, check the base of the figure for a molded copyright mark and ensure the packaging includes a holographic sticker, which is standard for authentic Funko releases from that period.

Funko has discontinued the Derek Zoolander (Merman) Pop! Movies figure, so it is no longer in print. You will not be able to purchase this item new directly from Funko or major retail partners. The figure is now only available through the secondary market, such as eBay, Amazon, or specialty collectibles shops, where prices may vary based on condition and demand.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! involves inspecting the figure for common defects such as paint overspray, mold lines, or misaligned parts, and verifying that the box is free of significant damage like crushed corners or faded printing. While you can perform a visual inspection at home, obtaining an official grade requires submitting the item to a third-party grading service like PSA, which will assign a numerical score based on the figure's preservation. Note that the specific "Merman" variant designation should be verified against the original packaging, as condition grading typically applies to the physical state of the vinyl figure and its box rather than confirming the character's identity.
