Common questions about the Devan Dubnyk Pop! Hockey from Funko.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Devan Dubnyk Pop! Hockey figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from the NHL collection that was widely available at retail, and it does not carry a limited production number or exclusive release status.
The Devan Dubnyk Pop! Hockey figure (SKU 19) is a standard production item that typically retails for approximately $12.00 USD when new in box. As a common hockey figure without special edition features, its value on the secondary market generally remains at or below retail price, often selling for less than $10.00 depending on condition and local demand.
To authenticate your Devan Dubnyk Pop! Hockey figure, first verify that the box is sealed with the original shrink wrap and that the window is intact, as tampering is a common sign of counterfeits. Inspect the figure for consistent paint application, sharp sculpting details, and the correct Funko logo on the base, noting that genuine items typically have a smooth finish without excess glue or rough edges. You can also cross-reference the SKU number on the box with official Funko listings to ensure the packaging matches the specific release. If the figure appears off in weight, texture, or color saturation compared to verified examples, it is advisable to consult a professional authentication service for a definitive assessment.
Funko does not publish specific release dates for individual Pop! Vinyl figures, and reliable historical records for this specific SKU are not readily available. While Devan Dubnyk was active in the NHL during the 2010s, the exact month and year of this figure's release cannot be confirmed without speculation.
Funko has discontinued the Devan Dubnyk Pop! Hockey figure, so it is no longer in print or available for purchase new from the manufacturer. Collectors seeking this item must look to the secondary market, such as online resale platforms, where prices are typically higher than the original retail value.
There is no standardized third-party grading service for Funko Pop! figures, so you should assess the condition yourself by inspecting the figure for common defects like paint chips, scratches, or misaligned parts. Check the head for "head tilt" and ensure the eyes are properly aligned, as these are frequent issues with hockey figures. If you are selling the item, photograph the figure from multiple angles in good lighting to document its exact condition for potential buyers.
