The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Dilophosaurus Pop! Movies figure (SKU 550) is not considered rare, as it was a standard production item released in 2018. It was widely available through major retailers and Funko's own channels during its release window. Consequently, it is generally easy to find in new or used condition on the secondary market.
The standard retail price for the 2018 Dilophosaurus Pop! Movies figure (SKU 550) was typically around $12 to $15. In the current secondary market, unopened copies generally sell for approximately $10 to $20, while opened figures often trade for less than $5. Prices can fluctuate based on condition and specific marketplace fees, so checking recent completed sales on platforms like eBay provides the most accurate current valuation.
There is no reliable information indicating that Funko produced a "Dilophosaurus" Pop! figure under the Movies line with SKU 550 in 2018, as this specific character and SKU combination do not correspond to known official Funko releases. Because the item described does not match verified manufacturer records, it is likely a counterfeit, a mislabeled product, or a confusion with a different dinosaur figure. To authenticate any Funko product, you should verify the SKU against official Funko catalogs and check for consistent packaging, paint quality, and the presence of a holographic sticker, but the primary issue here is that the specific item in question appears to be non-existent in the official lineup.
The Dilophosaurus Pop! Movies was released in 2018 by Funko.
The Dilophosaurus Pop! Movies figure (SKU 550) is currently out of print and no longer available for purchase directly from Funko. As a 2018 release, it is typically only found on the secondary market through third-party resellers, where prices may vary significantly based on condition and demand.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! involves inspecting the figure for common defects such as paint overspray, mold lines, and chipped plastic, with particular attention to the Dilophosaurus's frill and teeth. You should also verify that the head is properly seated on the body and that the eyes are aligned. While third-party grading services like PSA can assign a numerical grade based on these factors, most collectors perform a visual inspection under good lighting to assess the item's overall quality before purchase.
