The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the DMX Pop! Rocks (SKU 317) is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from Funko’s 2023 release cycle, and like most regular edition Pop! Rocks, it was widely distributed and is commonly found in retail stores and online marketplaces.
The value of a DMX Pop! Rocks figure (SKU 317) depends heavily on its condition and whether it is sealed in its original box, with typical retail prices for new, in-box copies generally ranging from $10 to $20. As a standard production item from 2023, it does not command a significant premium over its original retail price on the secondary market. You should check current listings on platforms like eBay or Amazon to see real-time pricing, as values for common Funko figures fluctuate based on supply and demand.
To authenticate your DMX Pop! Rocks (SKU 317), first verify that the figure is accompanied by a sealed box with a holographic Funko sticker and a matching SKU number on the bottom. Inspect the vinyl for consistent paint application, sharp sculpting details, and the correct "Funko" logo on the base, as counterfeit items often feature blurry printing or off-color finishes. If the packaging appears damaged or the figure lacks these specific manufacturing markers, it is advisable to compare your item against verified listings from reputable resellers to confirm its legitimacy.
The DMX Pop! Rocks was released in 2023 by Funko.
Funko Pop! Rocks are generally produced in limited runs and are not typically kept in continuous print like standard vinyl figures. As a 2023 release, the DMX Pop! Rock (SKU 317) is likely out of print and no longer available to purchase new directly from Funko or major retail partners. Collectors seeking this item should look to the secondary market, such as eBay or specialized trading platforms, where prices may fluctuate based on demand and condition.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! Rocks figure involves inspecting the vinyl surface for scratches, scuffs, or paint chips, with particular attention to the face and any distinct color separations. You should also verify that the figure is securely seated in the base and that the packaging, if present, is free from creases, tears, or yellowing. While third-party grading services like PSA or CGC can assign a numerical grade, most collectors simply assess these figures on a scale from mint to heavily worn based on visible defects.
