Common questions about the Donatello Pop! Retro Toys from Funko (2020).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Donatello Pop! Retro Toys figure is not considered rare, as it was part of a standard mass-production release by Funko in 2020. It was widely available through major retailers and online marketplaces during its production run, meaning it does not carry the scarcity value associated with limited edition or exclusive variants.
The Donatello Pop! Retro Toys (SKU 17) is a standard mass-produced vinyl figure released by Funko in 2020, and its value is determined by market demand rather than a fixed retail price. In its original sealed box, this figure typically trades for a modest amount, often ranging from $10 to $20, while unboxed copies generally sell for less. Because it is a common release within the Retro Toys line, it does not command a significant premium over its original retail price.
To authenticate your Donatello Pop! Retro Toys figure, first verify that the box displays the official Funko logo and the specific SKU number 17, which corresponds to the 2020 release. Examine the physical figure for consistent paint application, sharp sculpting details, and a secure, non-loose head joint, as poor quality control is a common indicator of counterfeits. While there is no single definitive test for authenticity, comparing the item side-by-side with a verified genuine example from a reputable retailer is the most reliable method to confirm its legitimacy.

The Donatello Pop! Retro Toys figure is no longer in print and is not available for purchase new from Funko. As a 2020 release, it has been discontinued, meaning new stock is only available through third-party resellers or the secondary market.
There is no standardized third-party grading service for Funko Pop! figures, so you should evaluate the condition yourself by inspecting the vinyl for scratches, paint chips, and mold lines. Check that the head is properly seated and that the figure stands level without leaning, as these are common defects in the Retro Toys line. For the most accurate assessment of market value, compare your specific figure to recent sold listings on platforms like eBay, noting any visible flaws that would lower its price.
