The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Doom Slayer poster is considered rare because it was a Dark Horse Direct exclusive, meaning it was only available through Dark Horse's direct sales channel rather than through general retail stores. This limited distribution channel, combined with the 2023 release year, makes it a sought-after item for collectors of video game art.

Mondo is a well-established publisher of art prints, so a 2023 Doom Slayer print from them is likely authentic if it came from a reputable retailer. To authenticate, check for the official Mondo logo, the correct edition size, and the specific "Dark Horse Direct Exclusive" marking on the print or its packaging. Verify the paper quality and ink saturation, as counterfeits often use cheaper materials. If the print lacks these specific exclusive markings or shows signs of poor printing, it may be a reproduction.
The Doom Slayer (Dark horse direct exclusive) was released in 2023 by Mondo.
The Doom Slayer print is a limited edition of 250 copies, which was sold exclusively through Dark Horse Comics' direct sales channel. Because it is a numbered limited run rather than an open-ended product, it is no longer in print. New copies are generally only available through the secondary market, where prices often exceed the original retail price.
The Doom Slayer is a 2023 Mondo lithograph, so grading is not typically required for standard collectible art prints unless you are seeking a professional certification for investment purposes. To condition-check the item, inspect the paper for creases, foxing, or edge wear, and verify the authenticity by checking for the official Mondo logo and the specific Dark Horse Direct exclusive markings. Since this is a limited edition, also confirm the edition number and signature if applicable, and ensure the print is flat and free of curling or moisture damage.
