No, the Dr. Eggman Pop! Rides figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item released by Funko in 2024 and is widely available through major retailers and online marketplaces. While specific production runs for Pop! Rides can vary, this SKU does not have the limited edition status or scarcity that typically defines rare collectibles.
The Dr. Eggman Pop! Rides (SKU 298) is a 2024 release with a standard retail price of $19.99. As a relatively recent item, its value typically remains at or near retail for sealed units, while open figures generally sell for less than the original purchase price. Specific market value can fluctuate based on condition and local demand, so checking current listings on resale platforms like eBay is recommended for precise pricing.
To authenticate your 2024 Dr. Eggman Pop! Rides (SKU 298), verify that the figure is made of vinyl with a plastic base and that the packaging features the official Funko logo and copyright information. Check for consistent paint application, sharp sculpting details, and the correct SKU number printed on the box's barcode label. If the item appears to be a 3D print, has loose parts, or lacks standard Funko packaging, it is likely a counterfeit. For definitive verification, compare your item against high-resolution images of the official release from Funko's website or a reputable retailer.

As of my last update, there is no reliable public information confirming that the Dr. Eggman Pop! Rides (SKU 298) is currently in print or available for new purchase from Funko. Funko frequently discontinues specific Pop! Rides figures once initial production runs are sold out, making them exclusive to secondary market sellers. I recommend checking Funko's official website or authorized retailers for the most current availability status.
There is no standardized third-party grading service specifically for Funko Pop! Rides, so you should assess the condition yourself by checking for common defects like paint transfer, hairline cracks, and loose articulation points. Pay close attention to the wheels and the character's pose, as these are prone to wear and misalignment. If the item is in pristine, unopened condition, it is generally considered to be in the highest tier for resale value.
