To authenticate your Dr. Egon Spengler Pop! Movies figure (SKU 743), first verify that the box is a genuine Funko Pop! Movies series box with the correct character name, number, and copyright date of 2019. Inspect the figure itself for high-quality paint application, clean seams, and the correct facial expression, as counterfeit figures often exhibit sloppy painting, misaligned parts, or plastic flash. You can grade the figure by submitting it to a professional third-party grading service like PSA, which will evaluate its condition and assign a numerical score from 1 to 10. For a casual condition check, inspect the figure under bright light for common defects such as paint transfer, seam lines, chipped paint, or misaligned parts. Be aware that grading fees can be high relative to the resale value of a standard 2019 Funko Pop, so verify current market prices before deciding if professional certification is worthwhile.
