No, the Dr. Egon Spengler Pop! Movies figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from the Ghostbusters franchise released in 2019 and was widely available through general retail channels. Because it was not a limited edition or exclusive variant, it remains common in the secondary market.
The Dr. Egon Spengler Pop! Movies figure (SKU 743) typically retails for approximately $12.99 USD. As a standard production item released in 2019, its value generally remains at or near retail price for new, unopened units, while used copies often sell for less depending on condition.
To authenticate your Dr. Egon Spengler Pop! Movies figure, first verify that the box is sealed with the official Funko holographic sticker and that the SKU 743 is clearly printed on the packaging. Inspect the figure itself for high-quality paint application, sharp sculpting details, and the correct Funko logo on the base, as counterfeit items often feature blurry printing, off-center eyes, or rough seams. You can also cross-reference the specific design and color scheme against official Funko product images to ensure it matches the 2019 release specifications.

The Dr. Egon Spengler Pop! Movies figure (SKU 743) is currently out of print and is no longer produced by Funko. While it is not available to buy new directly from the manufacturer, you may find new-in-box copies through third-party retailers or the secondary market, where prices often exceed the original retail value.
You should inspect the figure under good lighting for common defects such as paint overspray, misaligned parts, or scratches on the plastic. Check that the eyes are properly aligned and that the base is free from scuffs or cracks, as these issues significantly impact the item's value. If you are looking for a professional grade, note that most third-party grading services do not grade standard vinyl Pop! figures, so your assessment will likely remain a self-reported condition check.
