Common questions about the Dr. Raymond Stantz Pop! Movies from Funko (2019).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Dr. Raymond Stantz Pop! Movies figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from the 2019 Ghostbusters release, and its common status is reflected in its low market value and widespread availability among collectors.
The Dr. Raymond Stantz Pop! Movies figure (SKU 745) is a standard retail release from 2019, and its value is typically determined by its condition and whether it is new in box. As a common item from a major franchise, it generally does not command a premium price on the secondary market, usually trading for amounts near or below its original retail price. Exact current market value fluctuates based on local demand and specific condition, so checking recent completed sales on platforms like eBay is the most reliable way to determine its worth.
To authenticate your 2019 Dr. Raymond Stantz Pop! (SKU 745), first verify that the box is sealed with the official Funko logo and that the figure itself features the standard vinyl material with the characteristic "Pop!" head shape. Check the bottom of the figure for the molded "Funko" logo and the specific SKU number 745, which should match the printed code on the packaging. Be aware that the 2019 release was part of the standard Movies line, so it should not include special edition features like exclusive paint applications or glow-in-the-dark elements unless explicitly stated on the box. If the paint is chipped, the vinyl feels unusually soft, or the box lacks proper security seals, the item may be a counterfeit.
The Dr. Raymond Stantz Pop! Movies was released in 2019 by Funko.
Funko has discontinued the Dr. Raymond Stantz Pop! Movies figure, so it is no longer in print. You will not be able to purchase this item new directly from Funko or authorized retailers. The figure is now only available through the secondary market, such as eBay or other collectibles resellers, where prices may vary based on condition and demand.
To grade a Dr. Raymond Stantz Pop! Movies figure, you should first inspect it for common defects such as paint overspray, chipped plastic, or misaligned eyes, which are frequent issues with mass-produced vinyl collectibles. For a formal condition assessment, you can submit the figure to a third-party grading service like Beckett Grading Services (BGS) or Certified Collectibles Group (CCG), which will evaluate the item and assign a numerical score based on its physical state. If you are checking the condition yourself for resale purposes, compare the figure against high-resolution images of a known perfect example to identify any deviations in color, molding, or packaging integrity.
