The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the eBay Player Special Edition is not considered rare. It was a mass-produced promotional item released by Funko in 2022 specifically for eBay customers, meaning it was widely available and not limited in production quantity.
The value of 2022 Funko eBay Player Special Editions varies significantly based on the specific player, condition, and whether the item is still sealed in its original packaging. Common players typically trade for between $10 and $25, while high-demand athletes or rare variants can command prices ranging from $50 to over $100. To determine the exact market value for a specific figure, it is best to check recent "sold" listings on eBay or current asking prices on secondary marketplaces like StockX.
Funko Player Special Editions are officially licensed products, and eBay is an authorized retailer for these items, so a purchase made directly through the eBay store is authentic. To verify a specific item, check that the packaging features the official Funko logo and the eBay branding, and ensure the vinyl figure has the standard quality finish and weight expected of a genuine Funko Pop. If you purchased the item from a third-party seller on eBay rather than the official store, you should compare the packaging and figure details against images from the official Funko website to rule out counterfeits.
The eBay Player Special Editions was released in 2022 by Funko.
Funko Player Special Editions are exclusive items produced specifically for eBay, and the 2022 series is no longer in print. These figures are not sold new by Funko or eBay, meaning they are only available through the secondary market from third-party sellers.
I cannot find reliable information regarding a specific 2022 Funko product line officially named "eBay Player Special Editions." It is possible this refers to a mislabeled item, a specific eBay-exclusive variant of a standard Funko Pop, or a confusion with a different manufacturer. Because I cannot verify the existence of this specific product line, I cannot provide accurate grading criteria for it. I recommend checking the specific item listing on eBay for detailed condition descriptions or contacting the seller directly for authentication details.
