For a basic condition check at home, inspect the figure under bright light for common defects such as paint chips, scratches, or "ghosting" (white residue on the plastic), and verify that the head is properly aligned with the body. Keep in mind that retail packaging is not part of the grading process for the figure itself, so focus your inspection on the vinyl item and its specific SKU details.
