Common questions about the Elmo Pop! Rides from Funko (2024).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Elmo Pop! Rides is not considered rare. It is a standard production figure released in 2024 as part of Funko's widely available Pop! Rides series, meaning it is generally accessible through regular retail channels and does not carry the limited production numbers associated with exclusive or chase variants.
The value of the 2024 Elmo Pop! Rides (SKU 309) depends heavily on its condition and whether it remains in its original sealed box. As a standard retail release, the unopened figure typically trades for a modest premium over its original retail price, while opened figures generally sell for less than their MSRP. Without specific market data for this exact SKU, it is difficult to provide a precise current market value, but it is not considered a rare or high-value collectible.
To authenticate your 2024 Elmo Pop! Rides (SKU 309), verify that the box features the official Funko logo and a holographic security sticker, which is a standard anti-counterfeit measure for recent releases. Inspect the figure itself for high-quality paint application, clean seams, and the correct articulation points specific to the Rides line, as counterfeits often exhibit sloppy molding or faded colors. While there is no single definitive test for every item, comparing the packaging details and figure weight against known authentic examples from reputable retailers is the most reliable method for verification.

Condition-checking a Funko Pop! Rides figure involves inspecting the vinyl for surface scratches, paint chips, or mold lines, with particular attention to the wheels and the base where stress often occurs. You should also verify that the figure is securely attached to the base and that the packaging, if present, is free from creases, tears, or fading. Since these items are relatively new, grading is typically done by eye for resale purposes, and professional grading services like PSA are generally not used for standard, non-exclusive vinyl figures of this type.
