Common questions about the Elmo & Tango Pop! Sesame Street from Funko (2024).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Elmo & Tango Pop! Sesame Street (SKU 1611) is not considered rare. It is a standard production figure released by Funko in 2024 as part of their regular Sesame Street line, meaning it is widely available through major retailers and online marketplaces.
The retail price for the Funko Pop! Elmo & Tango (SKU 1611) is typically around $12.99, though actual market value fluctuates based on condition and local availability. As a standard 2024 release, it generally trades near its retail price on secondary markets unless it is a special edition or part of a limited run.
Authenticating a 2024 Funko Pop! requires checking for specific quality markers, as counterfeiters often miss these details. Look for a crisp, raised "FUNKO" logo on the base and a clear, legible SKU number (1611) printed on the bottom of the box. The plastic should be smooth with minimal seam lines, and the paint should be vibrant without bleeding, particularly on Elmo's red fur and Tango's blue feathers. If the packaging feels flimsy, the barcode is missing, or the figure has a strong chemical odor, it is likely a replica.

To condition-check this Funko Pop!, inspect the vinyl figure for any paint transfer, scuffs, or mold lines, and verify that the eyes are properly aligned and free of bubbles. Examine the acrylic display box for cracks, scratches, or cloudiness, as damage to the box significantly impacts resale value. Ensure the figure is securely seated in the base and that the box is sealed with the original shrink wrap if you are evaluating it as a new, unopened item.
