The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Elvis '68 Comeback Special Pop! Rocks is not considered rare, as it was part of a standard, mass-produced Funko Pop! Rocks series released in 2021. These items were widely available through major retailers and Funko's own channels, making them common collectibles that are typically easy to find in new condition.
The Elvis '68 Comeback Special Pop! Rocks is a standard retail Funko product that typically sells for its original retail price of around $10 to $15 when new in box. Because it is a common item from a popular franchise, it does not generally hold significant collector value above retail, and used copies often sell for less than the original price.
To authenticate your Funko Pop! Rocks Elvis '68 Comeback Special, verify that the packaging is the distinct clear, rock-textured plastic rather than standard opaque vinyl, and check for the specific 2021 release branding on the box. Examine the figure itself for the correct color scheme, facial sculpt details, and the unique rock-like finish on the surface, which should differ from the smooth texture of standard vinyl Pops. Ensure the SKU 188 and copyright date match the official 2021 release records, and look for the Funko logo and safety warnings printed clearly on the base of the figure. If the packaging is damaged or the figure lacks the characteristic rock texture and specific paint application, it may be a counterfeit.
The Elvis '68 Comeback Special Pop! Rocks was released in 2021 by Funko.
Funko Pop! Rocks are generally produced in limited runs and are not kept in continuous print like standard vinyl figures. As a 2021 release, the Elvis '68 Comeback Special Pop! Rocks is likely out of print and no longer available for purchase directly from Funko. You would typically need to check secondary marketplaces such as eBay, Amazon, or local hobby shops to find new stock, where prices may vary based on current demand.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! Rocks involves inspecting the vinyl figure for surface scratches, paint chips, or mold lines, and verifying that the packaging is free from dents, tears, or shelf wear. For the specific Elvis '68 Comeback Special variant, pay close attention to the accuracy of the printed graphics on the figure and the box, as these are key indicators of authenticity and production quality. If you require a formal grade for resale purposes, you should submit the item to a third-party grading service like PSA, which will encapsulate the figure and assign a numerical score based on its physical condition.
