Common questions about the Fatso Pop! Movies from Funko (2023).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Fatso Pop! Movies (SKU 1423) is not considered rare in the traditional sense, as it is a standard production item released in 2023. It is a regular catalog release rather than a limited edition or exclusive variant. While its novelty design may make it less common in secondary markets compared to standard vinyl figures, it is generally available through regular retail channels.
The 2023 Fatso Pop! Movies (SKU 1423) is a limited-edition vinyl figure from Funko, typically valued between $30 and $50 in new, unopened condition on secondary markets. Because Fatso figures are produced in smaller runs than standard Pops, their value is higher than regular editions, but exact pricing fluctuates based on specific character popularity and market demand. For a precise current valuation, check recent sold listings on platforms like eBay or StockX, as the "worth" depends heavily on whether the item is new or used and which specific movie character is featured.
To authenticate your 2023 Fatso Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1423), first verify that the packaging is a sealed, undamaged box with the correct Funko branding and the specific SKU number printed on the bottom or side. Inspect the figure itself for consistent paint application, proper proportions, and the distinctive "Fatso" body shape, which is noticeably wider and taller than standard Pop! figures. Check that the plastic is solid and free of excessive flash or bubbles, and confirm the base is flat and securely attached. If the box is open or damaged, compare the figure against high-resolution images of the official product to ensure the character design and color scheme match the 2023 release specifications.

The Fatso Pop! Movies (SKU 1423) is generally considered out of print, as Funko has discontinued the Fatso line. While it is no longer sold new through official channels, you can still find new-in-box units on the secondary market, though prices are often higher than the original retail price.
Grading a Fatso Pop! Movies figure involves inspecting the vinyl for common defects such as paint overspray, seam lines, or chipped edges, which are typical in mass-produced items. Unlike standard Pops, the Fatso variant has a distinctively enlarged, rounded body, so check that the proportions are symmetrical and the face is centered. For a formal grade, you would need to submit the figure to a third-party grading service like PSA or Beckett, which will assign a numerical score based on surface condition, paint quality, and packaging integrity.
