Sideshow Collectibles has not issued a public authentication service for their 2011 Figrin D'an Modal Nodes figure, so there is no official method to verify its authenticity through the manufacturer. To assess the item, you should compare the sculpting quality, paint application, and packaging details against verified images from reputable auction houses or collector forums, noting that Sideshow figures from this era typically feature high-resolution sculpting and specific box branding. To grade a Figrin D'an figure, you should submit it to a professional third-party grading service such as CGC, which will evaluate the item based on standard criteria including paint condition, plastic integrity, and articulation. For a preliminary condition check, inspect the figure under bright lighting for signs of stress cracking, paint transfer, or fading, and verify that the included accessories and display stand are intact and free from damage. Because this is a 2011 release, pay particular attention to the condition of the plastic, as older vinyl or PVC materials may be more susceptible to yellowing or brittleness over time.
