Common questions about the Floating Buzz Lightyear Pop! Disney from Funko.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Floating Buzz Lightyear Pop! (SKU 536) is not considered rare, as it was part of a standard mass-production run rather than a limited edition. It was released as part of the standard Disney line, making it widely available in retail stores and online marketplaces. While specific "floating" variants can sometimes command a premium due to their unique display feature, the base item itself is a common collectible.
The value of a Floating Buzz Lightyear Pop! (SKU 536) depends heavily on its condition, specifically whether it is new in box (NIB) or loose. As a relatively recent release, it typically trades near retail price when new in box, while loose copies generally sell for less than the original retail cost. To get a precise market value, check current completed sales on secondary markets like eBay or StockX, as prices fluctuate based on collector demand and release scarcity.
To authenticate your Floating Buzz Lightyear Pop! (SKU 536), first verify the packaging, which should feature the official Funko logo and the "Disney" branding. Inspect the vinyl figure for consistent paint application, crisp details, and the correct translucent base, as these are common indicators of authenticity. You can also cross-reference the SKU and product name against Funko's official catalog or reputable collector databases to confirm the item matches the expected specifications for this specific release.
The Floating Buzz Lightyear Pop! (SKU 536) was released in 2016. It is part of Funko's "Floating" series, which features figures mounted on a clear acrylic base to create a hovering effect.
The Floating Buzz Lightyear Pop! (SKU 536) is currently out of print. It was part of a limited-edition "Floating" series that is no longer being produced by Funko, meaning new stock is scarce and typically only available through secondary markets or remaining retailer inventory.
To grade or condition-check a Floating Buzz Lightyear Pop! (SKU 536), first inspect the clear plastic dome for cracks, scratches, or cloudiness, as this is the most common point of failure for floating figures. Next, examine the painted details on the figure itself for chipping, fading, or misalignment, paying close attention to the eyes and the rocket ship accessory. Check the base for scuffs or damage to the floating mechanism, and verify that the figure sits securely within the dome without excessive play. If you are seeking a formal grade, services like PSA or Beckett can assign a numerical grade based on these visual factors, but for casual checking, a bright light and a magnifying glass are sufficient to spot minor defects.
