Common questions about the Forrest Gump (Running) Pop! Movies from Funko (2019).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Forrest Gump (Running) Pop! Movies figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from the 2019 release wave that was widely available through major retail channels. While specific color variants or special editions may be harder to find, the base SKU 771 figure remains a common collectible.
The retail value of the 2019 Forrest Gump (Running) Funko Pop! (SKU 771) is typically between $12 and $15 for a new, sealed figure. Because this is a standard, non-exclusive release from a major film, it does not command a significant premium in the secondary market, and prices for used copies are generally lower.
To authenticate your 2019 Forrest Gump (Running) Pop! (SKU 771), first verify that the box displays the official Funko logo and the correct SKU number on the bottom or side. Inspect the figure for consistent paint application, proper molding of the running pose, and the specific facial features associated with the 2019 release. If the packaging lacks a holographic sticker or the figure feels lightweight compared to standard vinyl weight, it may be a counterfeit, so comparing it to verified images from Funko’s official catalog is recommended.
The Forrest Gump (Running) Pop! Movies was released in 2019 by Funko.
Funko has discontinued the Forrest Gump (Running) Pop! Movies figure, so it is no longer in print or available for purchase new from the manufacturer. Collectors seeking this item must look to the secondary market, such as eBay or specialized toy resellers, where prices typically exceed the original retail value.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! primarily involves inspecting the vinyl figure for manufacturing defects such as paint overspray, seams, or hairline cracks, as well as verifying that the box is free of significant damage, fading, or wear. For this specific 2019 release, you should also ensure the figure is securely seated within the window and that the packaging is intact if you intend to sell it as a sealed item. While professional grading services like PSA or CGC exist, they are rarely used for standard movie figures due to the low cost of the item relative to the grading fee, so most collectors simply assess the condition visually before purchase.
