Common questions about the Frank von Viener Pop! Fantastik Plastik from Funko (2018).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
Frank von Viener is a limited edition figure, with only 5,000 units produced. Because it is a limited run, it is considered rare compared to standard mass-produced Pop! figures. Its rarity is further enhanced by its status as a special "Fantastik Plastik" variant, which typically features unique colorways or finishes not found in the standard line.
The value of the Frank von Viener Pop! Fantastik Plastik (SKU 13) depends heavily on its condition, whether it is still in the box, and current market demand for this specific character. As a 2018 release, it is no longer considered a new arrival, which typically places its retail or secondary market price in the mid-range for common Funko Pops, generally hovering between $15 and $30 USD for a sealed or near-mint figure. Exact pricing can fluctuate based on seller listings on platforms like eBay or StockX, so checking recent sold listings will provide the most accurate current market value.
Frank von Viener is a German artist known for his "Fantastik Plastik" series, and Funko produced a line of Pop! figures based on his work in 2018. To authenticate your item, verify that the figure is made of solid vinyl with a smooth, glossy finish and that the base is stamped with the Funko logo and the specific SKU number 13. Check the packaging for the correct artwork, the "Funko" branding, and a barcode that matches the official product listing for this specific release. If the vinyl feels porous, the paint is chipped, or the base stamp is missing or incorrect, the figure may be a reproduction.
The Frank von Viener Pop! Fantastik Plastik was released in 2018 by Funko.
The Frank von Viener Pop! Fantastik Plastik (SKU 13) is a 2018 release that is currently out of print. It is no longer available new from Funko's standard retail channels, meaning buyers typically need to seek out third-party resellers or the secondary market for new-in-box units.
To condition-check this figure, inspect the vinyl surface for scratches, scuffs, or paint chips, paying close attention to the eyes and any small details like the hat or accessories. Verify that the figure is securely seated in its original box and that the window is free of cracks or clouding. Since this is a standard mass-produced item, grading is typically only necessary for high-value variants, but for a standard SKU 13, a visual inspection of the figure and packaging is sufficient to assess its collectible condition.
