The 2019 Funko Pop! Rides Gandalf (SKU 72) is not considered rare in the secondary market. It was part of a widely distributed collaboration series and remains relatively common among collectors. The value of the 2019 Funko Pop! Rides: Gandalf (SKU 72) fluctuates based on condition, packaging integrity, and current market demand. As a relatively recent release, its value is typically close to retail price for new, unopened units, while used or opened figures generally trade at a discount. For a precise valuation, check recent completed sales on secondary marketplaces like eBay or StockX, as prices for this specific SKU can vary significantly depending on whether the figure is in its original box or loose.
To authenticate your 2019 Gandalf Pop! Rides (SKU 72), first verify the box seal and check that the vinyl figure matches the official reference images for color, sculpt details, and base design. Inspect the packaging for the correct SKU number, copyright date, and the distinctive Funko logo. If the figure feels unusually light, has rough seams, or the paint is faded or chipped, it may be a counterfeit or a damaged item. The Gandalf Pop! Rides (SKU 72) is considered out of print, as Funko has retired most of its "Rides" series. While the figure is no longer sold new from Funko's official channels, it remains available through third-party retailers and secondary markets, though prices for out-of-print items can fluctuate based on demand.
To condition-check a Funko Pop! figure, inspect the vinyl surface for scratches, scuffs, or paint chips, paying close attention to the horse's mane and Gandalf's beard where paint is most prone to wear. Verify that the figure is securely seated in its base and that the packaging is intact, as the box condition significantly impacts resale value. For a formal grade, send the item to a professional grading service like PSA or CGC, which will assign a numerical score based on a standardized scale.
