No, the Garfield Pop! Comics figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item released in 2023 as part of a widely distributed comic book tie-in series, making it readily available through major retailers and secondary markets.
There is no single fixed value for the 2023 Garfield Pop! Comics figure, as prices fluctuate based on condition, demand, and whether the item is sold new in box or used. As a standard retail collectible, its value typically hovers around its original MSRP, which was generally between $12 and $15, unless it is part of a specific limited edition or has gained significant secondary market traction. To determine the current market value, you should check recent completed sales on platforms like eBay or specialized collectibles databases, as these provide the most accurate reflection of what buyers are currently paying.
To authenticate your Funko Pop! Comics Garfield (SKU 37), first verify that the box is sealed with the official Funko Comics branding and that the figure itself is made of standard vinyl with a matte finish. Check the base for the embossed Funko logo and ensure the paint application is clean without significant bleeding, as poor paint quality is a common indicator of counterfeits. You can also cross-reference the SKU number on the box with the official Funko website or reputable collector databases to confirm the item's existence and release details. If the packaging, figure weight, or paint quality seems inconsistent with known authentic examples, consider seeking a professional appraisal for a definitive verification.

Funko has not officially announced that the Garfield Pop! Comics (SKU 37) is out of print, and it remains listed as available for purchase on major retail platforms like Amazon and the Funko website. Condition-checking a Garfield Pop! Comics figure involves inspecting the vinyl for surface imperfections such as mold lines, paint chips, or scratches, with particular attention to the eyes and any printed details. You should also verify that the figure is securely seated within its base and that the packaging is free of significant damage, as the box condition heavily influences the item's value. For a formal grade, you would need to submit the figure to a professional third-party grading service, though this is rarely done for standard retail Funko Pops due to the cost relative to the item's market value.
