Common questions about the Garfield (with Pooky) Pop! Comics from Funko (2024).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Garfield (with Pooky) Pop! Comics figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from Funko's ongoing Pop! Comics line, which is widely available through major retailers and online marketplaces. Because it is part of a recurring series rather than a limited edition or exclusive release, its supply is consistent and it does not typically command a significant premium over its retail price.
I cannot find reliable market data to determine the current value of the 2024 Funko Pop! Comics Garfield (with Pooky), SKU 40. As a recent release, its price is likely close to its original retail value, but specific secondary market fluctuations are not documented in my available information.
To authenticate your 2024 Garfield (with Pooky) Pop! Comics figure, verify that the box features the official Funko logo and the specific SKU number 40 on the side or back. The figure itself should have a smooth, uniform plastic finish with crisp paint application and no visible mold lines or seams, which are common indicators of counterfeit items. Additionally, the packaging should include a holographic Funko sticker, and the figure should be securely attached to the backing card with standard plastic pegs. If the packaging feels flimsy, the printing is blurry, or the figure lacks the expected weight and detail, it is likely a replica.

Condition-checking a Funko Pop! figure primarily involves inspecting the vinyl for surface scratches, paint chips, and molding defects, particularly on the smaller details like Pooky's ears and Garfield's facial features. You should also verify that the figure is securely seated on its base without any wobble and that the original box is free from significant creases, tears, or water damage, as this significantly impacts resale value. While third-party grading services like PSA exist for collectibles, they are rarely used for standard mass-produced vinyl figures, so most buyers rely on high-resolution photos of the item and its packaging to assess condition.
