To authenticate your Sideshow Collectibles Geonosis Commander Battle Droid and Count Dooku Hologram, first verify that the box and packaging are intact and feature the official Sideshow logo and product artwork. Inspect the sculpt for high-quality paint application, sharp details, and a secure, well-finished base, as counterfeit items often exhibit sloppy paint lines, plastic seams, or low-resolution printing. Check for the presence of the original hologram disc and any included certificates of authenticity, noting that Sideshow typically does not include COAs for standard production figures, so the packaging and build quality are the primary indicators of legitimacy. If the item appears significantly off in scale, weight, or material quality compared to known examples, it is likely a replica.
The Geonosis Commander Battle Droid & Count Dooku Hologram was released in 2014 by Sideshow Collectibles.
Sideshow Collectibles has discontinued the Geonosis Commander Battle Droid & Count Dooku Hologram, so it is no longer in print or available to purchase new from the manufacturer. This 2014 release is now a discontinued item, meaning any new copies available on the market are likely from secondary sellers or remaining third-party inventory.
Sideshow Collectibles does not offer an official grading service for their 1/6th scale figures, so you should rely on third-party grading companies like Beckett (BGS) or CGC if you wish to have the item professionally evaluated. When checking the condition yourself, inspect the Battle Droid for paint wear on the joints and the holofoil on Count Dooku’s hologram for scratches, fading, or peeling, as these are common points of degradation. Ensure all included accessories, such as the blaster and stand, are present and undamaged, and verify that the original packaging is free from significant box wear if you are assessing the item as a complete set.
