Common questions about the Gigan Pop! Movies from Funko (2024).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Gigan Pop! Movies figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item released by Funko in 2024 as part of their regular movie line, meaning it was widely distributed and is not a limited edition or exclusive variant.
The Gigan Pop! Movies (SKU 1667) is a standard 3.75-inch vinyl figure released by Funko in 2024, and its value is primarily determined by its retail price, which typically ranges between $10 and $15. As a relatively recent release from a major franchise, it does not command a significant premium in the secondary market unless it is part of a specific collection or sold in a sealed, unopened box. Current market value for loose figures generally hovers near the original retail price, with sealed boxes potentially selling for a modest markup depending on local demand.
To authenticate your Gigan Pop! Movies figure, first verify that the packaging displays the official Funko logo and the specific SKU number 1667 on the box. Inspect the figure for consistent paint application, clean seams, and the correct sculpting details, as counterfeits often exhibit sloppy paint jobs or misaligned parts. Additionally, check for the presence of the Funko holographic sticker on the packaging, which is a standard security feature for recent releases, and compare the item against high-resolution images from the official Funko website to ensure the design matches the 2024 release specifications.

I cannot find reliable information confirming that the Gigan Pop! Movies (SKU 1667) is currently in print or available for purchase new. As a 2024 release, it may have been a limited edition or a short-run item that is no longer stocked by major retailers, so checking current inventory on Funko's official website or authorized dealers is recommended to verify its availability.
Gigan Pop! figures are typically graded by professional services like PSA or Beckett using standard criteria for paint application, seam lines, and overall structural integrity. Because these figures are significantly larger than standard Pops, they often exhibit more visible molding imperfections or paint bleed, so you should inspect the joints and larger surface areas carefully under bright light. There is no unique grading scale specific to the Gigan line; they are evaluated on the same 1-10 scale as other Funko products, with 10 being near-perfect factory condition.
