The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Gigantosaurus Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1207) is not considered rare, as it was a standard mass-production release by Funko in 2022. It was widely distributed through major retail channels and is generally available in new condition on the secondary market.
The Gigantosaurus Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1207) is a standard retail release from 2022, so its value is typically close to its original retail price, usually ranging between $10 and $15 for a new, unopened box. Because this is a common mass-market item rather than a limited edition, it does not generally command a premium in the secondary market. Prices can fluctuate slightly based on local availability, but it is not considered a high-value collectible.
To authenticate your Gigantosaurus Pop! Movies figure, first verify that the packaging includes the correct SKU 1207 and the 2022 release date, as these details should match official Funko records. Examine the figure for consistent paint application, proper seam alignment, and the presence of the official Funko logo on the base, which are common indicators of genuine production. If the item appears to be a third-party reproduction, check for poor print quality or missing licensing marks, and consider comparing it against verified images from Funko's official catalog or reputable collector communities.
The Gigantosaurus Pop! Movies was released in 2022 by Funko.
Funko has not officially announced a discontinuation of the Gigantosaurus Pop! Movies line, so the figures are technically still in print. However, availability varies significantly by retailer, and specific characters may be out of stock at major online and brick-and-mortar stores. You should check current inventory on Funko's official website or authorized retailers to confirm if the specific figure you want is available for purchase.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! figure primarily involves inspecting the vinyl for surface flaws such as paint chips, scratches, or mold lines, while also verifying that the head and body are securely attached and not loose. For a formal grade, you can submit the figure to a third-party grading service like Beckett, which will encapsulate it and assign a numerical score based on its physical state. Keep in mind that standard Pop! figures are generally not graded by major agencies like PSA, so Beckett is the most common option for this specific product line.
