Common questions about the Gill Pop! Fantastik Plastik from Funko (2018).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Gill Pop! Fantastik Plastik is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from the 2018 Fantastik Plastik series, which was widely distributed and remains readily available on the secondary market.
The Gill Pop! Fantastik Plastik is a standard production Funko Pop figure that typically sells for between $5 and $15 in new, sealed condition on the secondary market. Its value remains relatively low because it was part of a large-scale 2018 release and is not a limited edition or exclusive variant. Prices may fluctuate slightly based on current market demand, but it does not command a premium over other common figures from that era.
To authenticate your Gill Pop! Fantastik Plastik, verify that the SKU 09 is clearly printed on the box and that the figure is made of solid vinyl with the characteristic Funko Pop! head-to-body ratio. Check for consistent paint application, particularly on the green skin and red accents, and ensure the figure stands firmly on its base without excessive wobble. While specific production details for this 2018 release are not widely documented in public databases, comparing the weight and seam quality against a known genuine example is the most reliable method for confirming authenticity.
The Gill Pop! Fantastik Plastik was released in 2018 by Funko.
The Gill Pop! Fantastik Plastik figure is no longer in print and is not available for purchase new from Funko. As a 2018 release, it has been discontinued, meaning any remaining stock is limited to third-party sellers or the secondary market.
To grade a Gill Pop! Fantastik Plastik, you should first inspect the vinyl figure for common defects such as paint overspray, seams, or molding errors, and then evaluate the condition of the original packaging, including the window clarity and box integrity. For a formal grade, you can submit the item to a professional third-party grading service like PSA, which will assign a numerical score based on the figure's and box's condition. Keep in mind that Funko Pop! figures are generally not graded by major services like Beckett, so PSA is the primary option for certified grading.
