No, the Gimli Pop! Movies figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item released in 2019 as part of the Lord of the Rings collection and was widely available through major retailers. While specific color variants or limited editions may be harder to find, the standard SKU 629 figure remains a common collectible.
The value of the 2019 Gimli Pop! Movies figure (SKU 629) varies significantly based on condition and whether it is sealed in its original box. As a common, mass-produced item from a major franchise, it typically sells for a modest price in the secondary market, generally ranging from a few dollars to around $10 to $15 for a loose figure, with sealed boxes commanding a slightly higher premium. Exact current market prices fluctuate, so checking recent completed sales on platforms like eBay or StockX is the most reliable way to determine its specific worth.
To authenticate your 2019 Gimli Pop! (SKU 629), verify that the figure is made of vinyl with a smooth, consistent finish and that the paint application is clean without significant bleeding or gaps. Check the base for the standard Funko logo and ensure the packaging, if present, displays the correct copyright dates and barcode for the 2019 release. While there is no single definitive "authenticity mark" on the figure itself, comparing the proportions, facial details, and accessory shapes against high-resolution images of the official product can help identify common counterfeit flaws such as distorted features or poor molding.

The Gimli Pop! Movies figure (SKU 629) is currently out of print and no longer available for purchase new from Funko. Because it is a discontinued item, new copies are generally only found through third-party resellers, often at prices significantly above the original retail value.
To grade a Gimli Pop! Movies figure, you should inspect the vinyl surface for any scratches, scuffs, or paint imperfections, paying close attention to the beard and facial details where wear is common. Check the joints and seams for any gaps or misalignments, and verify that the figure is securely attached to its base without any loose parts. If the figure is in its original box, examine the packaging for shelf wear, creases, or damage to the window, as this significantly impacts the item's value for collectors.
