Common questions about the Gizmo Pop! Movies from Funko (2023).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Gizmo Pop! Movies figure is not considered rare. It is a standard mass-produced item from Funko's mainline movie collection, meaning it is widely available in retail stores and online marketplaces. While specific production runs may vary, it does not possess the limited edition status or scarcity that defines rare collectibles.
The Gizmo Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1420) is a standard retail item that typically sells for its original retail price of approximately $12.99 in new, unopened condition. As a common release from a major manufacturer, it does not command a significant premium in the secondary market, and used copies generally trade for less than the retail price.
To authenticate your 2023 Gizmo Pop! (SKU 1420), verify that the figure is made of solid vinyl with a smooth, uniform finish and that the packaging features the official Funko logo and barcode. Check that the character’s proportions, such as the size of the head relative to the body and the specific details of the fur texture, match official Funko product images, as fakes often exhibit uneven molding, sharp seams, or incorrect paint application. If the item lacks a holographic sticker or the box appears to be a reprint with poor print quality, it may be a counterfeit.
The Gizmo Pop! Movies was released in 2023 by Funko.
Funko has discontinued the Gizmo Pop! Movies figure (SKU 1420), so it is no longer in print and cannot be purchased new from official retail channels. While occasional restocks of older inventory may appear on secondary marketplaces, the standard production run for this specific item has ended.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! involves inspecting the vinyl figure for manufacturing defects such as paint overspray, misaligned eyes, or seams, and verifying that the head is properly seated on the body. You should also examine the box for any dents, tears, or fading, as the packaging is a significant factor in the item's value. For a formal grade, you can submit the unopened box to a third-party grading service like PSA, which will assign a numerical score based on the condition of both the figure and the packaging.
