No, the Godzilla 6" Pop! Movies figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from the 2015 release wave and was widely distributed through major retail channels. Because it was not a limited edition or exclusive variant, it remains readily available in the secondary market.
The value of the 2015 Godzilla 6" Pop! (SKU 239) fluctuates based on condition and market demand, but it typically sells for between $10 and $25 in retail or secondary markets. As a standard-sized vinyl figure from a popular franchise, it is generally considered an affordable collectible rather than a high-value investment. Prices can vary slightly depending on whether the item is new in box or loose.
To authenticate your 2015 Godzilla 6" Pop! Movies (SKU 239), verify that the figure features the standard Funko logo on the base and that the packaging displays the correct copyright and trademark notices for both Funko and Toho. Check for consistent paint application, proper sculpting details, and a clear, undamaged vinyl surface, as counterfeit items often exhibit sloppy molding, off-color paint, or missing logos. If the figure lacks the official Funko branding on the base or the box appears to be a generic reproduction, it is likely a counterfeit.
The Godzilla 6" Pop! Movies was released in 2015 by Funko.
The Godzilla 6" Pop! Movies figure (SKU 239) is currently out of print and is no longer available for purchase directly from Funko. As a 2015 release, it has been discontinued, meaning new stock is only obtainable through third-party resellers or the secondary market.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! primarily involves inspecting the vinyl figure for surface scratches, paint chips, or molding defects, with particular attention to the head, hands, and feet where wear is most common. You should also verify that the head is properly aligned and not loose on the neck joint, as this is a frequent issue with 6-inch figures. While third-party grading services like PSA can provide a standardized condition score, most collectors simply assess the figure visually against a "mint in box" standard, noting that the original box and any included accessories significantly impact the item's overall value.
