Common questions about the Godzilla 6" Pop! Movies from Funko (2015).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Godzilla 6" Pop! Movies figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from Funko's 2015 Godzilla movie line and was widely available at retail stores and online marketplaces. While specific variants like chases or limited editions may be harder to find, the base figure remains a common collectible.
The standard Godzilla 6" Pop! Movies figure (SKU 239) is a common collectible that typically sells for between $5 and $10 in new, sealed condition on the secondary market. Because this figure was widely produced and is not considered rare, its value is generally lower than its original retail price. Prices can fluctuate slightly based on current demand, but it remains an affordable entry-level item for most collectors.
To authenticate your Funko Godzilla 6" Pop! (SKU 239), first verify that the box is sealed with the standard Funko holographic sticker and that the figure itself displays the correct 2015 movie design. Inspect the paint application for consistency, ensuring there are no major runs, gaps, or misalignments, and check that the plastic has the characteristic smooth finish without excessive mold lines. You can also compare the figure's proportions and specific details, such as the dorsal fin shape and eye color, against high-resolution images of the official release. If the item lacks a box, authentication is more difficult, so consulting a reputable third-party grading service or a Funko community forum for a visual comparison is recommended.

The Godzilla 6" Pop! Movies figure (SKU 239) is currently out of print and no longer available for purchase new from Funko. As a 2015 release, it has been discontinued, meaning new stock is only accessible through the secondary market from third-party sellers.
There is no standardized third-party grading service for Funko Pop! figures, so you should evaluate the item yourself by checking for common defects such as paint overspray, seam lines, and mold marks. Inspect the figure under bright, direct light to ensure the eyes are aligned and the surface is free of scratches, and verify that the head is properly seated on the body without gaps. If the figure is in its original box, check for "shelf wear" on the packaging, as this significantly impacts value for collectors.
