Common questions about the Goofy (Fishing) Pop! VHS Covers from Funko (2022).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Goofy (Fishing) Pop! VHS Covers is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from the 2022 VHS Covers series, which was widely available to the general public. While specific variants like chases are rare, the standard SKU 04 figure is common and easily found in the secondary market.
I cannot find reliable market data to provide a specific valuation for the 2022 Goofy (Fishing) Pop! VHS Covers. As a niche collectible, its value fluctuates based on condition and demand, so I recommend checking recent sold listings on platforms like eBay or specialized Funko trading forums for the most accurate current pricing.
Authenticating a Funko Pop! VHS Cover is difficult without the original packaging, as the plastic figures themselves are often indistinguishable from counterfeits to the naked eye. Look for signs of poor manufacturing such as paint bleed, misaligned seams, or a lack of the official Funko logo on the base, though high-quality fakes can replicate these details. The most reliable method is to purchase from authorized retailers like the Funko Store, Amazon, or major toy chains, as there is no definitive standalone test for an unboxed figure.
The Goofy (Fishing) Pop! VHS Covers was released in 2022 by Funko.
Funko has not officially announced a discontinuation of the Goofy (Fishing) Pop! VHS Covers, so it remains technically in print. However, availability for this specific 2022 release is often inconsistent, and it may be out of stock at major retailers. You should check current inventory on the Funko website or authorized third-party sellers to confirm if new units are available for purchase.
Because this item is a VHS cover accessory rather than a standard vinyl figure, grading focuses on the condition of the printed cardboard sleeve and the plastic VHS shell it fits. Inspect the surface for scuffs, creases, or fading, and verify that the plastic components are free of cracks or warping. Since it is a 2022 release, check for any yellowing of the plastic or peeling of the printed graphics, as these are common signs of age-related wear.
