Common questions about the Goon Squad Pop! Games from Funko.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Goon Squad Pop! Games figure is not considered rare. It is a standard production item from Funko's Pop! Games line, which typically features mass-produced figures of popular video game characters. While specific variants or limited editions may be harder to find, the base SKU 572 figure is generally available through standard retail channels and secondary markets.
The value of the Goon Squad Pop! Games figure (SKU 572) fluctuates based on condition, packaging integrity, and current market demand. As a standard collectible, its price typically ranges from its original retail value to a modest premium if sold in sealed, unopened condition. For an accurate, real-time valuation, you should check recent completed sales on secondary marketplaces like eBay or specialized Funko trading platforms.
Funko Pop! Games figures, including the Goon Squad model (SKU 572), are generally considered real if purchased from authorized retailers like Target, Walmart, or the official Funko store, as the company does not produce official counterfeits. To authenticate your figure, verify that the packaging is sealed with the standard Funko holographic sticker and that the figure itself exhibits the correct paint application, seam lines, and weight consistent with the standard vinyl material. If the item was bought from a third-party marketplace, check for signs of tampering on the box or inconsistencies in the figure's molding compared to official reference photos.
I cannot find reliable information confirming a specific release date for a Funko Pop! Games item with SKU 572 identified as "Goon Squad." It is possible the SKU corresponds to a different character or that the item is a niche variant not widely documented in standard release schedules.
Funko has discontinued the Goon Squad Pop! Games figure, meaning it is no longer in print and cannot be purchased new directly from the manufacturer. This item is now only available through the secondary market, such as online resale platforms or local collectible shops, where prices may vary based on condition and demand.
There is no standardized third-party grading service for Funko Pop! vinyl figures, so you cannot obtain a professional grade for this item. To condition-check the Goon Squad Pop! Games figure, you should inspect it for common defects such as paint overspray, seam lines, chipped plastic, and loose or missing accessories. You can also verify the SKU 572 on the packaging to ensure you have the correct edition, as Funko does not assign individual serial numbers or certificates of authenticity to standard production runs.
