Common questions about the Gretchen Pop! Movies from Funko (2016).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Gretchen Pop! Movies figure is not considered rare. It was a standard mass-production release from Funko's 2016 movie line and was widely available in retail stores and online. While sealed boxes may command a higher price due to age, the figure itself is common and easily found in the secondary market.
The Gretchen Pop! Movies figure (SKU 291) is a common 2016 release that typically sells for under $10 in loose condition. Because it is a standard movie character figure with high production numbers, it does not command a premium price in the secondary market.
To authenticate your Gretchen Pop! Movies figure, first verify that the packaging displays the correct SKU 291 and the 2016 release year, as these details align with the official Funko production records. Inspect the figure for consistent paint application, sharp molding, and the presence of the standard Funko logo on the base, which are common indicators of a genuine item. If the figure lacks these specific markings or the box art appears low-resolution, it may be a counterfeit, and you should consider having it appraised by a reputable third-party authentication service for a definitive conclusion.
The Gretchen Pop! Movies was released in 2016 by Funko.
Funko discontinued the production of the Gretchen Pop! Movies figure (SKU 291) in 2016, so it is no longer in print. New, factory-sealed copies are no longer available directly from Funko or major retail partners. Collectors seeking this item must look to the secondary market, such as eBay or specialty shops, where prices typically exceed the original retail value.
To grade a Gretchen Pop! Movies figure, you should assess the condition of the vinyl surface for any cracks, chips, or paint wear, paying particular attention to the hair and clothing details. Verify that the figure is securely seated on its base and that the original box is free from significant damage, as this impacts the overall value. For a professional grade, you can submit the item to a third-party authentication service, though many collectors simply evaluate it visually against known production standards for the 2016 release.
