Common questions about the Gritty Pop! Hockey from Funko.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Gritty Pop! Hockey figure is not considered rare because it was a standard retail release available in wide distribution at major stores. While specific variants like Chase or Exclusive editions may have lower production numbers, the base figure is a common collectible that is frequently found in new or used condition.
There is no single fixed market value for the Gritty Pop! Hockey figure, as prices fluctuate based on condition, packaging integrity, and current demand. As a standard retail item, it typically sells for its original MSRP of around $12.99, while sealed copies in high demand may command a slight premium on secondary markets. Unopened figures in mint condition generally hold the highest value, whereas opened or damaged items are worth significantly less.
To authenticate your Gritty Pop! Hockey figure, first verify that the box features the official Funko logo and the specific "Gritty" branding, as this character is a licensed property of the Philadelphia Flyers. Inspect the vinyl for consistent paint application and sharp sculpting details, particularly around the fur texture and facial features, since counterfeits often exhibit sloppy molding or faded colors. You can also cross-reference the SKU and product images on the official Funko website or reputable retailer listings to ensure the packaging and figure match the genuine release. If the figure lacks the standard Funko quality control marks or the box appears to be a generic reprint, it is likely a counterfeit.
I cannot find reliable information confirming a specific release date for a "Gritty Pop! Hockey" item from Funko. While Funko has produced Gritty figures, the specific SKU and title provided do not correspond to a verifiable release in available records.
Funko has discontinued the Gritty Pop! Hockey figure, meaning it is no longer in print and cannot be purchased new from official retail channels. While the item is no longer produced, it remains available for purchase in the secondary market through platforms like eBay, StockX, and other collectibles resellers.
There is no official third-party grading service, such as PSA or Beckett, that currently grades Funko Pop! figures, including the Gritty Hockey variant. To assess condition, you should visually inspect the vinyl for surface scratches, paint chips, and mold lines, and verify that the figure is securely seated within its original window box. Additionally, check the box for any signs of damage, such as crushed corners or yellowing, as these factors significantly impact resale value.
