The Happy Gilmore Pop! Movies figure (SKU 978) is not considered rare, as it was part of a standard mass-production release in 2020. It was widely distributed through major retail channels and remains readily available on the secondary market.
The value of a Happy Gilmore Pop! Movies figure (SKU 978) varies significantly based on its condition, with unopened boxes typically commanding a higher price than loose figures. As a standard release from 2020, it is generally considered a common item, so its market value is usually modest and often close to its original retail price. For the most accurate current valuation, you should check recent completed sales on secondary marketplaces like eBay.
Authenticating a specific Funko Pop! figure like the Happy Gilmore (SKU 978) requires a physical inspection, as I cannot verify the authenticity of your individual item remotely. To check for yourself, examine the paint application for bleeding or gaps, ensure the eyes are clear and properly aligned, and verify that the box features the official Funko logo and a scannable QR code. If the figure has visible mold lines, off-color plastic, or missing packaging elements, it may be a counterfeit, and you should compare it against high-resolution images from the official Funko website or a reputable retailer.
The Happy Gilmore Pop! Movies was released in 2020 by Funko.
Funko has discontinued the Happy Gilmore Pop! Movies figure (SKU 978), so it is no longer in print. This item is no longer available to purchase new from Funko's official website or major retail partners. Collectors seeking a new copy must look for sealed inventory on the secondary market, such as eBay or other reseller platforms.
Grading a Funko Pop! involves inspecting the figure for manufacturing defects such as paint overspray, chipped plastic, or misaligned eyes, as well as checking the box for any damage. For a formal condition check, you can submit the item to a third-party grading service like PSA, which will assign a numerical grade based on the figure's and packaging's condition. Keep in mind that standard retail grading is not as common for individual Pops as it is for trading cards, so many collectors rely on visual inspection and high-resolution photos to assess value.
