The Hello Kitty (Gold Medal) Pop! Sanrio is not considered rare. It was a standard production item released by Funko in 2020 as part of their Sanrio line, and it was widely available through major retail channels. While specific variants like chasers or exclusive releases may have lower production numbers, the standard version remains common in the secondary market.
The Hello Kitty (Gold Medal) Pop! Sanrio, released in 2020, is a standard production vinyl figure that typically retails for approximately $12.99. As a common item without limited edition numbering, its value generally remains at or slightly below its original retail price in the secondary market, depending on the condition of the packaging and figure.
To authenticate your Hello Kitty (Gold Medal) Pop! Sanrio, verify that the box displays the official Funko logo and the Sanrio licensing mark, and check that the vinyl figure has clean, sharp edges without the rough seams or paint bleed common in counterfeits. The SKU number 36 should be printed on the box, and the figure itself should feature the specific gold medal accessory with consistent color saturation and detail. If the packaging feels flimsy, the print quality is low, or the figure lacks the standard Funko mold precision, it is likely a replica.
The Hello Kitty (Gold Medal) Pop! Sanrio was released in 2020 by Funko.
The Hello Kitty (Gold Medal) Pop! Sanrio is no longer in print and is not available to buy new from Funko. As a 2020 release, it is considered a discontinued item, meaning new stock is no longer produced or sold by the manufacturer. Collectors seeking this figure must look for pre-owned copies on the secondary market.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! involves inspecting the figure for common defects such as paint overspray, scratches, or chipped plastic, particularly on the face and limbs. For the Hello Kitty Gold Medal variant, pay close attention to the metallic gold finish on the medal and ribbon, as these areas are prone to scuffing or fading. You should also verify that the eyes are properly aligned and that the figure stands upright without wobbling, which can indicate a manufacturing flaw in the base.
