The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Hello Kitty in Kimono Pop! Sanrio (SKU 135) is a standard production item, so it is not inherently rare. As a 2026 release, its long-term scarcity will depend on production run size and market demand, which are not yet fully established.
The Hello Kitty in Kimono Pop! Sanrio (SKU 135) is a 2026 release, so its current market value is primarily determined by its original retail price, which is typically around $12.99 for standard Funko Pops. Because the item is new and not yet widely circulated, secondary market prices generally hover near retail or slightly above for unopened boxes. Specific premium pricing for rare color variants or special editions cannot be reliably established until the product has been on the market long enough to establish a stable resale value.
To authenticate your Hello Kitty in Kimono Pop! Sanrio, first verify that the figure is made of solid vinyl with a smooth, glossy finish and that the base is securely attached. Check the packaging for the official Funko logo, the Sanrio licensing mark, and the specific SKU number 135 printed on the box. Inspect the paint application for consistent color and sharp details, and confirm the figure’s weight feels substantial rather than hollow. If the item lacks these characteristics, it may be a reproduction.
The Hello Kitty in Kimono Pop! Sanrio was released in 2026 by Funko.
The Hello Kitty in Kimono Pop! Sanrio (SKU 135) is a 2026 release, which indicates it is a current or upcoming item rather than a discontinued one. Because the listed year is 2026, the figure is likely still in print or scheduled for release, meaning it should be available to buy new through standard retail channels.
Grading a Hello Kitty in Kimono Pop! Sanrio involves inspecting the figure for common defects such as paint chips, mold lines, or loose parts, which are typical for vinyl collectibles. For a formal grade, you would submit the figure to a professional service like PSA or Beckett, which will assign a numerical score based on surface quality and structural integrity. Since this is a 2026 release, it is a new item, so checking for factory flaws before purchase is the most practical approach for most collectors.
