Common questions about the Hello Kitty (Land) Pop! Sanrio from Funko.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Hello Kitty (Land) Pop! Sanrio is not considered rare, as it is a standard production item from Funko's widely distributed Sanrio line. These figures are manufactured in large quantities and are frequently available for purchase through major retailers and online marketplaces. Consequently, they do not typically command a premium price over their original retail value.
The Hello Kitty (Land) Pop! Sanrio is a standard retail collectible that typically sells for between $9 and $15 when new in box. As a mass-produced item from a popular series, it does not carry significant premium value on the secondary market, and its worth is generally limited to its original retail price.
To authenticate your Hello Kitty (Land) Pop! Sanrio, first verify that the box features the official Funko logo and the Sanrio license mark, which should be clearly printed on the packaging. Examine the vinyl figure for consistent paint application, sharp molding details, and a smooth finish, as counterfeit versions often exhibit rough seams or color bleeding. You can also cross-reference the product code on the box with the official Funko website to confirm the SKU matches the specific release. If the packaging appears damaged, lacks security features, or the figure feels unusually lightweight, it is advisable to consult a professional authentication service for a definitive assessment.
I cannot find reliable information confirming a specific release date for a Funko Pop! Sanrio figure designated as "Hello Kitty (Land)" with SKU 40. While Funko has produced numerous Hello Kitty figures, this specific variant and SKU combination do not correspond to a widely documented release in available public records.
Funko has discontinued the Hello Kitty (Land) Pop! Vinyl figure, meaning it is no longer in print and cannot be purchased new from the manufacturer. This item is now only available through the secondary market, such as resale platforms or collector-to-collector sales.
To grade a Hello Kitty (Land) Pop! Sanrio, first inspect the vinyl surface for any mold lines, paint imperfections, or scratches, and verify that the figure is securely seated in its base without wobble. Check the original packaging for box condition, including the presence of the window, any dents, and the integrity of the hang tab, as these factors significantly impact value. For a formal grade, submit the item to a third-party grading service like PSA, which will assign a numerical score based on the figure's and box's condition relative to industry standards.
