Common questions about the Hello Kitty Pop! Sanrio from Funko.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Hello Kitty Pop! Sanrio figure (SKU 81) is not considered rare, as it is a standard production item from Funko's long-running Sanrio line. These figures are widely available through major retailers and secondary markets, meaning they do not command a significant premium over their original retail price.
The value of a Hello Kitty Pop! Sanrio vinyl figure varies significantly based on its condition, whether it is in the original box, and current market demand. As a common mass-produced item, an unopened figure typically sells for between $10 and $20, while a loose figure generally commands a lower price. For the most accurate and up-to-date valuation, you should check recent completed sales on secondary marketplaces like eBay.
To authenticate your Hello Kitty Pop! Sanrio (SKU 81), first verify that the figure is made of vinyl with a matte finish and that the "Funko" logo is clearly embossed on the base. Check the packaging for the official Funko logo, the Sanrio license mark, and a barcode that matches the manufacturer's records, as counterfeit items often feature blurry printing or incorrect fonts. If the figure feels unusually light, has a glossy finish, or lacks the standard seam lines typical of Funko production, it is likely a replica.
Funko does not publicly list a specific release date for the Hello Kitty Pop! Sanrio figure with SKU 81. While the figure is part of the long-running Sanrio collection, exact launch dates for individual numbered items are rarely documented in official Funko records.
Funko has discontinued the Hello Kitty Pop! Sanrio figure, which is no longer in print. While it is no longer available to buy new from official Funko retail channels, the item can be found on the secondary market through platforms like eBay, Amazon, and other collectibles resellers.
To condition-check a Hello Kitty Pop! Sanrio, inspect the vinyl figure for surface scratches, paint chips, or molding defects, paying close attention to the face and ears. Verify that the figure is securely seated in the acrylic window box and that the box itself is free of dents, creases, or shelf wear. If you are seeking a professional grade, submit the item to a third-party grading service such as PSA, which will evaluate the figure and packaging to assign a numerical score based on standardized condition criteria.
