Common questions about the Hello Kitty (Sky) Pop! Sanrio from Funko.
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Hello Kitty (Sky) Pop! Sanrio is not considered rare, as it is a standard production item from Funko's Sanrio line. It is widely available through major retailers and online marketplaces, meaning its value is generally determined by its condition and packaging rather than scarcity.
The Hello Kitty (Sky) Pop! Sanrio is a standard production item that typically sells for $10 to $15 in new, unopened condition on the secondary market. Its value remains relatively stable and does not generally appreciate significantly over time, as it is a common release within the Sanrio line. Prices may fluctuate slightly based on current demand and availability, but it is not considered a rare or high-value collectible.
I cannot verify the authenticity of a specific item without physically inspecting it, so I cannot confirm if your Hello Kitty (Sky) Pop! Sanrio is real. To authenticate the figure yourself, check that the box is sealed with a holographic sticker, the vinyl is smooth without rough seams, and the paint is crisp with no bleeding. You can also cross-reference the SKU 43 and the copyright date on the base against official Funko release records to ensure the production details match the expected specifications for that series.
I cannot find reliable information confirming a specific release date for a Hello Kitty (Sky) Pop! Sanrio with SKU 43. Funko's SKU numbering system is not strictly chronological, and "Sky" is not a standard color variant name for their Sanrio line, making it difficult to verify the existence of this specific item without speculation.
Funko has not publicly announced a discontinuation of the Hello Kitty (Sky) Pop! Vinyl figure, so it remains in print. It is currently available for purchase new through Funko's official website and major retail partners, though specific stock levels may vary by location.
Condition-checking a Funko Pop! involves inspecting the figure for common defects such as paint overspray, chipped plastic, or uneven eyes, while also verifying that the box is free of dents, creases, or damage to the window. For a formal grade, you must submit the item to a third-party grading service like PSA, which will evaluate the figure and packaging on a 1-10 scale and assign a certified grade. Be aware that the specific "Sky" variant designation should be confirmed against the original packaging, as grading services primarily assess physical condition rather than verifying colorway authenticity.
