No, the Hello Kitty (Swimming) Pop! Sanrio is not considered rare. It is a standard production figure from the 2020 Sanrio collection that was widely available through major retailers and online marketplaces. While specific variants or limited editions may be harder to find, the base model is a common item in the Funko Pop! catalog.
The Hello Kitty (Swimming) Pop! Sanrio is a common mass-produced item that typically sells for between $5 and $10 in retail or secondary markets. Because this figure was released in 2020 and is not a limited edition, it does not command a premium price over its original retail value. Its worth remains largely static unless it is found in a sealed box with a specific chase variant, which is rare for this specific SKU.
To authenticate your Hello Kitty (Swimming) Pop!, first verify that the figure is manufactured by Funko and check the packaging for the correct SKU number, which is 34 for this specific 2020 release. Examine the physical details, such as the paint application on the swimsuit and the clarity of the plastic, as counterfeits often feature blurry printing or poor seam alignment. You can also compare the item's dimensions and weight against the specifications listed on Funko's official website or reputable collector databases to identify any significant discrepancies.

The Hello Kitty (Swimming) Pop! Sanrio is no longer in print and is not available to buy new from Funko or major retail partners. As a 2020 release, this figure is considered out of production, meaning new stock is no longer being manufactured. Collectors seeking this item must look to the secondary market, such as eBay or specialized toy shops, where availability and pricing are subject to market fluctuations.
Grading a Hello Kitty (Swimming) Pop! primarily involves inspecting the vinyl figure for surface imperfections such as hairline cracks, paint chips, or molding lines, as well as checking the box for shelf wear, scuffs, or faded printing. Because this item is a mass-produced collectible from 2020, it is generally not submitted to professional grading services like PSA, which typically reserve their services for high-value trading cards, comics, and sports memorabilia. For most buyers, a simple visual inspection of the figure and its packaging to ensure it is complete and free of significant damage is sufficient for determining its condition.
