The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
No, the Hello Kitty (Unicorn) Pop! Sanrio is not considered rare. It is a standard production figure from the 2022 Sanrio line, and its common status is reflected by its low SKU number and widespread availability. While specific variants like chases or limited editions might be harder to find, the standard version remains a common collectible.
The Hello Kitty (Unicorn) Pop! Sanrio (SKU 58) is a standard production item from 2022, and its value is primarily determined by its condition and whether it is still sealed in its original box. As a common release, it typically sells for a modest premium over its original retail price, generally ranging from $10 to $20 for a new, unopened figure.
To authenticate your Hello Kitty (Unicorn) Pop! Sanrio, first verify that the box displays the official Funko logo and the Sanrio license mark, as unauthorized reproductions often lack proper licensing. Inspect the figure for high-quality paint application, consistent eye gloss, and a solid, non-porous vinyl texture, noting that counterfeits frequently exhibit rough seams, off-color printing, or a "chalky" feel. Check the base of the figure for a molded copyright symbol and production year, and ensure the packaging includes the correct SKU (58) and a scannable barcode that matches Funko's official catalog. If the packaging feels flimsy, the fonts appear misaligned, or the figure lacks the standard Funko quality control stickers, it is likely a replica.

The Hello Kitty (Unicorn) Pop! Sanrio, released in 2022, is generally considered out of print and is no longer available for purchase new from Funko or major retail partners. While occasional restocks of popular Sanrio figures can occur, this specific unicorn variant is typically only found in the secondary market at a premium over its original retail price.
To condition-check a Hello Kitty (Unicorn) Pop! Sanrio, inspect the vinyl figure for surface scratches, paint chips, or discoloration, paying close attention to the unicorn horn and any metallic accents. Verify that the figure is seated correctly on the base without gaps or stress marks, and ensure the packaging is free from creases, tears, or significant wear if you intend to sell it sealed. While professional grading services like PSA can assign a numerical score, most collectors rely on visual inspection of the figure and box condition to determine value.
