No, the Hello Kitty with Balloons Pop! is not considered rare. It is a standard production figure from Funko’s Sanrio line that was widely distributed through major retail channels. While specific color variants or limited edition releases may have lower print runs, the standard version remains readily available in the secondary market.
The Hello Kitty with Balloons Pop! Sanrio (SKU 84) is a standard retail collectible that typically sells for its original retail price of approximately $9 to $12 when new in box. Because this is a common release from the Sanrio line, it does not command a significant premium in the secondary market, and values generally remain stable or slightly below retail for used copies.
To authenticate your Hello Kitty with Balloons Pop! Sanrio, first verify that the packaging is a sealed, original Funko box with the correct SKU number 84 printed on the bottom. Inspect the vinyl figure for consistent paint application, sharp molding details, and the official Funko logo on the base, as counterfeit items often feature blurry printing, uneven seams, or missing logos. You can also cross-reference the box art and product details against the official Funko website or reputable collector databases to ensure the design matches the released version.
The Hello Kitty with Balloons Pop! Sanrio figure, SKU 84, was released in 2018. It was part of the initial wave of Sanrio Pop! figures launched by Funko that year.
Funko has discontinued the Hello Kitty with Balloons Pop! Vinyl Figure, so it is no longer in print or available for purchase as a new item from the manufacturer. Collectors seeking this specific figure must look for used copies on the secondary market, such as eBay or other resale platforms.
To condition-check a Funko Pop!, inspect the vinyl figure for surface scratches, paint chips, or mold seams, and verify that the eyes are properly aligned and free of clouding. Examine the packaging for any dents, tears, or signs of tampering, as the box condition significantly impacts the item's value. If the figure is sealed, grade it based on the box's integrity; if unboxed, focus on the figure's physical flaws and the presence of original accessories.
