To authenticate your Hello Kitty with Glasses Pop! Sanrio, first verify that the figure is accompanied by a sealed box with the official Funko logo and Sanrio licensing information. Check the base of the vinyl figure for a molded copyright symbol and the year of manufacture, which should align with the release date printed on the packaging. Additionally, inspect the paint application and seam lines, as genuine Funko products typically feature clean molding and consistent color saturation, whereas counterfeits often exhibit sloppy detailing or off-brand plastics. If the item lacks a box or the markings appear inconsistent with known production standards, consider having it evaluated by a professional authentication service.

Grading a Funko Pop! involves inspecting the vinyl for surface imperfections such as mold lines, paint chips, or scratches, while also checking the acrylic box for cracks, scuffs, or cloudiness. If the figure is unboxed, you should verify that the eyes are aligned correctly and that the glasses accessory is intact without loose parts. For a formal grade, you can submit the item to a third-party grading service like PSA, which will assign a numerical score based on these visual factors, though casual collectors often simply categorize the item as "Mint in Box" or "Opened" based on its overall appearance.
