Common questions about the Herb Welch Pop! SNL from Funko (2024).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Herb Welch Pop! SNL (SKU 07) is not considered a rare or limited-edition item. It is part of Funko's standard production run for the SNL series, meaning it was manufactured in large quantities and is widely available through major retailers. Its value is primarily driven by the popularity of the character and the show, rather than scarcity.
The Herb Welch Pop! SNL (SKU 07) is a 2024 Funko release, and its value depends heavily on condition and whether it is new in box or loose. As a relatively recent release, it typically trades near or slightly below retail price for new-in-box units, while loose figures generally hold less value. Exact market pricing fluctuates, so checking current listings on secondary marketplaces is the most reliable way to determine its current worth.
To authenticate your 2024 Funko Pop! Herb Welch (SNL) figure, first verify that the SKU number 07 is printed on the bottom of the box and that the figure itself matches the official product images in terms of color, pose, and facial features. Check the box for the standard Funko Pop! logo, the "Made in China" label, and a valid UPC barcode, ensuring the packaging is undamaged and sealed with the original plastic wrap. If the figure feels lightweight, has a rough seam line, or the paint job appears uneven compared to the official renderings, it may be a counterfeit. For definitive verification, cross-reference the SKU and year with Funko's official catalog or consult a certified appraiser if the item is of high value.

To condition-check a Herb Welch Pop! SNL, inspect the vinyl surface for mold, hairline cracks, or paint defects, paying close attention to the facial features and the microphone prop. Verify that the figure stands level on its base and that all limbs are intact and properly aligned. For formal grading, submit the figure to a third-party service like PSA or Beckett, which will assign a numerical grade based on paint quality, molding, and overall completeness.
