To authenticate your SooSooToys Hermann (MPN SST027), first verify the manufacturer's branding and the specific MPN code on the packaging or product base. Check the physical details such as paint quality, seam lines, and material consistency against known genuine examples, as counterfeit figures often show sloppy molding or faded colors. If the item lacks the correct MPN or shows signs of mass production inconsistencies, it may be a replica, so comparing it side-by-side with a verified original is the most reliable method.

To condition-check a Hermann, inspect the vinyl surface for scratches, scuffs, or paint chips, paying close attention to the eyes, mouth, and any articulated joints. Check the articulation points for looseness or stiffness, and examine the packaging for wear, creases, or damage to the box and inserts. For a formal grade, you can submit the figure to a third-party grading service, though many collectors simply assess condition visually using standard scales like "Mint," "Near Mint," or "Good."
