Common questions about the Hot Tamales Pop! Foodies from Funko (2021).
The answers below are provided by contributors and may not be fully accurate. Verify important details before relying on them.
The Hot Tamales Pop! Foodies figure is not considered rare, as it was part of a widely produced standard release in 2021. Like most items in the Funko Foodies line, it was distributed in large quantities to major retailers and online stores, making it relatively common and easy to find in the secondary market.
The Hot Tamales Pop! Foodies figure (SKU 100) is a common item that typically sells for $10 to $15 in retail stores. In the secondary market, unopened copies generally trade for $10 to $20, while opened figures are worth significantly less, often around $5. Prices can fluctuate slightly based on current demand, but this item does not hold significant investment value.
To authenticate your Funko Hot Tamales Pop! Foodies, first verify that the box displays the correct SKU 100 and the 2021 release year. Inspect the vinyl figure for consistent paint application, sharp sculpting details, and the standard Funko logo on the base. Check the packaging for the official Funko holographic sticker and ensure the box seal is intact if you are evaluating it as a sealed item. If the figure lacks these manufacturing markers or shows signs of poor molding, it may be a counterfeit.
The Hot Tamales Pop! Foodies was released in 2021 by Funko.
Funko has discontinued the Hot Tamales Pop! Foodies figure, so it is no longer in print and cannot be purchased new from the manufacturer. This item is now only available through the secondary market, such as online resale platforms, where prices are typically higher than the original retail value.
You should inspect the Hot Tamales Pop! Foodie in its original sealed box, checking for any dents, creases, or tears in the packaging that could lower its value. If the figure is unboxed, examine the vinyl for surface scratches, paint chips, or misaligned parts, paying close attention to the eyes and the distinct features of the character. For a formal grade, you would need to submit the item to a third-party grading service, though most standard Pop! figures are typically valued based on their retail condition rather than professional grading.
