The Sideshow Collectibles Imperial Shock Trooper from 2009 is not considered rare, as it was part of a standard production run of the Star Wars Saga series. These 1/6th scale figures were widely distributed through major retailers and Sideshow's own channels, making them common finds in the secondary market.
The Imperial Shock Trooper originally retailed for $89.99. Live secondary-market data isn't indexed yet — check eBay sold listings for current value.
Sideshow Collectibles did not release a standalone Imperial Shock Trooper figure in 2009, as the company's primary focus during that period was on 1/6th scale Star Wars figures like the Boba Fett and Darth Vader releases. Because this specific item does not align with Sideshow's documented 2009 production catalog, it is highly likely to be a counterfeit, a misidentified item from a different manufacturer, or a custom modification. To authenticate the item, you should compare its packaging, sculpt details, and articulation points against verified images of genuine Sideshow releases from that era, noting that any significant discrepancies in quality or branding would confirm it is not an authentic Sideshow product.

The 2009 Sideshow Collectibles Imperial Shock Trooper is a limited-edition statue that is long out of print and no longer available for purchase new from the manufacturer. It is currently only available through the secondary market, such as online auction sites or private collectors, where prices typically exceed the original retail value.
Sideshow Collectibles does not issue official grading certificates for their 1/6th scale figures, so there is no standardized third-party grading service specifically for this item. To assess condition, you should inspect the figure for common defects such as paint transfer on the armor, loose joints, or hairline cracks in the plastic, particularly on the helmet and chest plate. You can also check the original packaging for signs of wear, as the box condition significantly impacts the resale value of unopened or complete sets.
