The 2009 Sideshow Collectibles Imperial Stormtrooper is a 1/6th scale collectible figure, not a life-size costume or prop, so "real" in this context means it is a genuine factory-produced item rather than a third-party reproduction. To authenticate it, verify the Sideshow logo and product code on the base or packaging, check for consistent paint application and plastic molding quality, and compare the figure’s proportions and details against official Sideshow reference images. If you purchased it from a secondary market, request the original box, manual, and any included accessories, as missing components or mismatched part numbers are common indicators of a replica or altered item.
The Imperial Stormtrooper was released in 2009 by Sideshow Collectibles.
The Sideshow Collectibles Imperial Stormtrooper from 2009 is generally considered out of print and is no longer available as a new factory-fresh item from the manufacturer. It is primarily found on the secondary market, where prices often exceed the original retail value due to its status as a classic Star Wars figure.
To grade a Sideshow Collectibles Imperial Stormtrooper, you should inspect the armor for hairline cracks, paint chips, or scuffs, paying close attention to the helmet and chest plate. Check that the joints move smoothly without excessive play or sticking, and verify that the blaster accessory is intact and securely attached. If the figure is in mint-in-box condition, the packaging should be free of major dents or tears, as this significantly impacts its resale value.
